Silicone Sponge Extruded Sections/Profiles

Where applications demand the physical properties and characteristics of silicone rubber, but in an alternative sponge form, we can deliver. We have a wide range of profiles available, with dies being simple and inexpensive to manufacture when custom items are needed, allowing a great deal of freedom in design.

Our extruded profiles include:
- tubes
- seals
- ‘U’ sections
- ‘T’ sections
- ‘e’ sections
- ‘D’ sections
- ‘P’ sections

Sponge strip can be extruded or slit from sheet. 

Currently, we offer four standard densities of SIL10, SIL16, SIL24, SIL33, with respective apparent densities of 10, 16, 24 and 33lb per cubic foot.

In metric terms these densities equate to 200, 250, 400 and 550kg per cubic metre.

Further options available include materials, intermediate densities and high temperatures grades for 270°C in a large variety of colours. Metal detectable grades are also available, usually in grey. When an FDA grade sponge is required, we can offer our SIL20 FDA grade sponge; a platinum cured material that conforms to FDA 177.2600 and EC 1935/2004 standards.
